What we do
Our central purpose is to check and challenge how well people are getting to live ordinary lives – from a family perspective.
'From front rooms to Downing Street and back'.
The flow is two way – we inform government proactively and respond to them. We are their reality check.
We respond to government consultations. You can find these in 'Our information'.
We are part of the work to make sure people are not in hospital when they could be supported in the community. This is called ‘Transforming Care’.
We are doing this work together with the National Forum of People with Learning Disabilities - you can find out more about this here.
We have 3 priorities that we are working on. You can find out more about this in the ‘Our work’ section.
